The Costa del Sol (The "Coast of the Sun" in English) in southern Spain lies on the Mediterranean sea, facing North Africa. It stretches for over 160 kilometres from Nerja in the east to Manilva in the West.

The capital of the region is Malaga located on the coast. With over 500,000 inhabitants, it is where most visitors will enter the region through its airport. There are daily direct flights from most major UK airports.

The coast is littered with many different types of destinations making it an active region of Spain, with many family activities, whilst also retaining the typical Spanish charm of the inland towns and villages. With its many beaches, golf courses, and a great climate, it is an ideal location for a family holiday.

The Spanish town of Nerja, set between the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountains and Mediterranean sea, is part of an area abundant with natural beauty, known as the Garden of Europe. Visit the Balcon de Europa, lined with palm trees and paved with marble, and sit and watch the world go by whilst eating tapas amongst friends.
